He estado ocupada.... I have been busy........

... acolchando este quilt para mi chiquitin. Me ha llevado mas tiempo de lo esperado terminarlo, queria tenerlo listo para comienzos de verano!, pero en el ultimo momento decidi no acolcharlo solamente con lineas simples e incluir algun motivo bonito. Creo que ha quedado bastante gracioso, le da un poquito de vida a la tela trasera, ya que es lisa.

... quilting my little boy's quilt. It has taken me more than I thought to complete, as I changed my mind several times about the quilting, I thought straight lines would be too plain as the backing fabric is solid, then I was looking for several quilting patterns,... the usual!.





Hoy he tenido ayuda para hacer estas fotos, aunque mi asistente estaba mas interesado en subirse al arbol que otra cosa!.

Today I had my assistant helping me out with the photo shooting, unfortunately he was busier trying to climb the tree. It is very difficult to get the staff these days!.




     El video de como realizar este quilt lo podeis encontrar en Quilt in a day de Eleonor Burns. Tiene 12 bloques, he utilizado bastantes tipos de telas en cuatro tonalidades distintas, para el bies he utilizado la misma tela del borde exterior, que a su vez he utilizado como borde exterior de la trasera. La tela que veis en el centro del bloque tiene un toquecito de brillantina plateada, me encanta, la tenia reservada desde hace bastante tiempo para algo especial, y aqui esta.


     You can find the video to make this quilt in the Quilt in a day site, by Eleonor Burns. It has 12 blocks, I have used four different colour, in diferent shades. I have used the same fabric for the bias binding, external border of the top and external border of the back. The central fabric of each block has a little touch of glitter, I adore it. I was keeping this fabric for something special, and here it is.
